Everything you need to know about EMPEX 2019:

When and where does the EMPEX festival take place?

The EMPEX Festival will take place from 2nd to 6th September 2019 at different Berlin- based units of the Axel Springer Group. For those, who will not be able to attend personally, majority of the sessions will be streamed so we will give more colleagues an opportunity to participate.

What are the goals of EMPEX?

  • Maximum participation from employees in the new work movement
  • Employee networking
  • Being transparent about the ways we work at Axel Springer (e.g. new management approach, feedback tools, “work hacks”)
  • Make the current work methods more visible

Who can participate in EMPEX?

The EMPEX Festival is open to all colleagues of Axel Springer Group.

When do the sessions take place and how long do they last?

The sessions are generally scheduled from 8:30 - 17:30 hrs. The duration of sessions varies between 30-90 minutes. You are also welcome to join two evening events: - Tuesday, 3rd of September: Meetup "meetup "Future of Work // Workspaces - KEYNOTE - FISHBOWL DISKUSSION - LIVE MUSIK - DRINKS" Start: 19:00 hrs (from 18:30 hrs admission) Register here. - Thursday, September 5th: EMPEX closing party with live music* Start: 18:30 hrs (from 18:00 hrs admission) Exact Location will be announced upon registration. Where do I find an overview of the entire EMPEX program?

The overview of the individual sessions you will find on the official EMPEX website. To make the overall EMPEX Experience even more convenient and handy, please use the Web-Based Event App "Lineupr". With the help of this tool you will always be up to date and have a direct access to all the festival activities.

How can I sign up for the individual sessions?

Please use Eventbrite registration links (website / Lineupr app)

When will I know if I got my seat in a session?

The seats are allocated on "First-come, first-served" basis and you will receive an automatic confirmation immediately after your successful registration via Eventbrite.

What if I want to attend a session but it is already full?

If your desired session is fully booked, you can add yourself to the waiting list. Should the slot become available, you will then be automatically added to the participants list. We can also share your contacts with the speaker and include you to the mailing lists of individual sessions, where you will be granted access to the content (e.g. presentations and handouts)

I have missed a session, but interested in the content, what can I do?

Write an email to empex@axelspringer.de We will then connect you with the desired speaker. Most speeches and panel discussions will be streamed and/or recorded. These will subsequently be made available on the intranet.
